# Agent Tools vs Ask Assist

The clearest difference is review sentiment: Agent Tools at 67% against Ask Assist's 30%. Agent Tools also leads on ads (none vs shown) and iOS requirement (13.0 vs 16.0). Ask Assist's advantage is update cadence (every 8 days vs every 2 months) and ratings volume (12K vs 8). On price, in-app purchases, monetization model and device support there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. Agent Tools sells 4 in-app purchases, starting at $4.99 per 7 days and Ask Assist sells 20 in-app purchases, starting at $6.99 per 7 days. Whichever you choose, the download price is not the number that matters.

Ask Assist holds the better App Store score, 4.6 against 4.4. That said, the two scores are not equally well evidenced: Ask Assist has 12K ratings behind it against 8, so its average is the more settled of the two. Written reviews complicate that: 67% of Agent Tools's written reviews are positive against 30% of Ask Assist's, so the app with the better star average is not the one people write more warmly about.

Agent Tools ships an update every 2 months, Ask Assist every 8 days. The most recent releases landed on October 13, 2026 and October 19, 2026 respectively.
