# AWS DOP vs commex

The clearest difference is update cadence: commex at every 5 months against AWS DOP's every 10 months. AWS DOP's advantage is iOS requirement (10.0 vs 15.1). On price, ads, in-app purchases and device support there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. AWS DOP sells 1 one-off in-app purchase and commex sells 2 in-app purchases, starting at $6.99 per month. Whichever you choose, the download price is not the number that matters.

AWS DOP ships an update every 10 months, commex every 5 months. The most recent releases landed on October 27, 2026 and October 7, 2026 respectively.
