# Document Manager vs Apex

The clearest difference is ads: Apex at none against Document Manager's shown. Document Manager's advantage is update cadence (every 2 months vs every 4 months) and device support (3 vs 1). On price and in-app purchases there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. Document Manager sells 11 in-app purchases, starting at $2.99 per 7 days and Apex sells 1 one-off in-app purchase. Whichever you choose, the download price is not the number that matters.

Document Manager ships an update every 2 months, Apex every 4 months. The most recent releases landed on October 2, 2026 and October 5, 2026 respectively.
