# VoyTimer vs Bear

The clearest difference is rating: VoyTimer at 4.5 against Bear's 4.3. VoyTimer also leads on iOS requirement (15.0 vs 18.0). On price, review sentiment, ratings volume and update cadence there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. VoyTimer sells 2 one-off in-app purchases and Bear sells 1 one-off in-app purchase. Whichever you choose, the download price is not the number that matters.

VoyTimer holds the better App Store score, 4.5 against 4.3. Both are backed by a comparable volume of ratings — 148 and 50 respectively. Written reviews complicate that: 57% of VoyTimer's written reviews are positive against 64% of Bear's, so the app with the better star average is not the one people write more warmly about.

VoyTimer ships an update every 11 days, Bear fortnightly. The most recent releases landed on October 11, 2026 and October 7, 2026 respectively.
