# QR Code Generator vs Imagic

The clearest difference is rating: QR Code Generator at 4.8 against Imagic's 1.0. QR Code Generator also leads on ratings volume (18K vs 1) and iOS requirement (13.0 vs 18.4.1). Imagic's advantage is ads (none vs shown). On price, update cadence, in-app purchases and monetization model there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. QR Code Generator sells 14 in-app purchases, starting at $3.99 per month and Imagic sells 1 one-off in-app purchase. Whichever you choose, the download price is not the number that matters.

QR Code Generator holds the better App Store score, 4.8 against 1.0. That said, the two scores are not equally well evidenced: QR Code Generator has 18K ratings behind it against 1, so its average is the more settled of the two.

QR Code Generator ships an update every 10 days, Imagic fortnightly. The most recent releases landed on October 21, 2026 and October 13, 2026 respectively.
