# Widgit vs Skin

Widgit and Skin both sit at 4.5 stars, but that hides the real split: 100% of Skin's written reviews are positive against 47% of Widgit's. Skin also leads on update cadence (every 2 weeks vs monthly). Widgit's advantage is in-app purchases (none vs 2) and ads (none vs shown). On price, rating, device support and iOS requirement there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. Skin sells 2 in-app purchases, starting at $2.99 per month. Widgit asks for nothing beyond the download.

On the App Store both sit at effectively the same score — 4.5 for Widgit against 4.6 for Skin. That said, the two scores are not equally well evidenced: Widgit has 150 ratings behind it against 19, so its average is the more settled of the two. Written reviews are what separate them: 47% of Widgit's written reviews are positive against 100% of Skin's.

Widgit ships an update monthly, Skin every 2 weeks. Both last shipped on October 24, 2026.
