# FolderWork vs Bear Notes

The clearest difference is in-app purchases: FolderWork at none against Bear Notes's 1. FolderWork also leads on iOS requirement (15.0 vs 17.0). Bear Notes's advantage is update cadence (every 2 days vs every 2 months). On price, ads and device support there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. Bear Notes sells 1 one-off in-app purchase. FolderWork asks for nothing beyond the download.

FolderWork ships an update every 2 months, Bear Notes every 2 days. The most recent releases landed on September 30, 2026 and October 1, 2026 respectively.
