# DP Education vs Talkpal

DP Education and Talkpal both sit at 4.8 stars, but that hides the real split: 100% of DP Education's written reviews are positive against 58% of Talkpal's. DP Education also leads on in-app purchases (none vs 3). Talkpal's advantage is update cadence (every 10 days vs every 3 months) and ratings volume (4K vs 8). On price, rating, ads and device support there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. Talkpal sells 3 in-app purchases, starting at $19.99 per month. DP Education asks for nothing beyond the download.

On the App Store both sit at effectively the same score — 4.8 for DP Education against 4.7 for Talkpal. That said, the two scores are not equally well evidenced: Talkpal has 4K ratings behind it against 8, so its average is the more settled of the two. Written reviews are what separate them: 100% of DP Education's written reviews are positive against 58% of Talkpal's.

DP Education ships an update every 3 months, Talkpal every 10 days. The most recent releases landed on October 24, 2026 and November 1, 2026 respectively.
