# MINI RECORD vs FanWork

The clearest difference is review sentiment: MINI RECORD at 65% against FanWork's 0%. MINI RECORD also leads on ratings volume (32 vs 3). FanWork's advantage is rating (4.3 vs 2.9) and monetization model (free vs subscription). On price, ads, in-app purchases and device support there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. MINI RECORD sells 1 in-app purchase, starting at $0.99 per month and FanWork sells 5 one-off in-app purchases. Whichever you choose, the download price is not the number that matters.

FanWork holds the better App Store score, 4.3 against 2.9. That said, the two scores are not equally well evidenced: MINI RECORD has 32 ratings behind it against 3, so its average is the more settled of the two. Written reviews complicate that: 65% of MINI RECORD's written reviews are positive against 0% of FanWork's, so the app with the better star average is not the one people write more warmly about.

MINI RECORD ships an update monthly, FanWork weekly. The most recent releases landed on October 8, 2026 and October 6, 2026 respectively.
