# New Year's Resolution Tracker vs Resolutions

The clearest difference is monetization model: Resolutions at free with in-app purchases against New Year's Resolution Tracker's subscription. Resolutions also leads on ads (none vs shown) and rating (5.0 vs 4.6). New Year's Resolution Tracker's advantage is update cadence (every 2 weeks vs every 2 months) and ratings volume (135 vs 7). On price, in-app purchases, device support and iOS requirement there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. New Year's Resolution Tracker sells 6 in-app purchases, starting at $4.99 per month and Resolutions sells 3 in-app purchases, starting at $0.99 per month. Whichever you choose, the download price is not the number that matters.

Resolutions holds the better App Store score, 5.0 against 4.6. That said, the two scores are not equally well evidenced: New Year's Resolution Tracker has 135 ratings behind it against 7, so its average is the more settled of the two.

New Year's Resolution Tracker ships an update every 2 weeks, Resolutions every 2 months. The most recent releases landed on October 23, 2026 and October 24, 2026 respectively.
