# Shot Factor vs Z

The clearest difference is rating: Shot Factor at 4.5 against Z's 3.3. Shot Factor also leads on ratings volume (46K vs 306). Z's advantage is review sentiment (35% vs 20%) and iOS requirement (13.0 vs 15.0). On price, update cadence, ads and in-app purchases there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. Shot Factor sells 1 one-off in-app purchase and Z sells 4 one-off in-app purchases. Whichever you choose, the download price is not the number that matters.

Shot Factor holds the better App Store score, 4.5 against 3.3. That said, the two scores are not equally well evidenced: Shot Factor has 46K ratings behind it against 306, so its average is the more settled of the two. Written reviews complicate that: 20% of Shot Factor's written reviews are positive against 35% of Z's, so the app with the better star average is not the one people write more warmly about.

Shot Factor ships an update every 2 weeks, Z fortnightly. The most recent releases landed on October 22, 2026 and October 19, 2026 respectively.
