# Step vs Dukkan IQ

The clearest difference is rating: Step at 5.0 against Dukkan IQ's 4.4. Step also leads on device support (3 vs 1) and iOS requirement (12.0 vs 16.0). Dukkan IQ's advantage is update cadence (every 3 weeks vs every 10 months) and ratings volume (23 vs 2). On price, ads, in-app purchases and monetization model there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. Neither carries in-app purchases, so what you see is what you pay.

Step holds the better App Store score, 5.0 against 4.4. That said, the two scores are not equally well evidenced: Dukkan IQ has 23 ratings behind it against 2, so its average is the more settled of the two.

Step ships an update every 10 months, Dukkan IQ every 3 weeks. The most recent releases landed on October 13, 2026 and October 9, 2026 respectively.
