# Step vs يمك

The clearest difference is rating: Step at 5.0 against يمك's 2.7. Step also leads on iOS requirement (12.0 vs 15.0). يمك's advantage is update cadence (fortnightly vs every 10 months) and ratings volume (25 vs 2). On price, ads, in-app purchases and monetization model there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. Neither carries in-app purchases, so what you see is what you pay.

Step holds the better App Store score, 5.0 against 2.7. That said, the two scores are not equally well evidenced: يمك has 25 ratings behind it against 2, so its average is the more settled of the two.

Step ships an update every 10 months, يمك fortnightly. The most recent releases landed on October 13, 2026 and October 20, 2026 respectively.
