# SplitFast Timing vs Athletics Calc

The clearest difference is update cadence: Athletics Calc at every 3 days against SplitFast Timing's every 2 weeks. SplitFast Timing's advantage is iOS requirement (16.0 vs 18.0). On price, ads, in-app purchases and device support there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. Neither carries in-app purchases, so what you see is what you pay.

SplitFast Timing ships an update every 2 weeks, Athletics Calc every 3 days. The most recent releases landed on November 3, 2026 and October 30, 2026 respectively.
