# Mininote vs FutureTrove

The clearest difference is ratings volume: Mininote at 21K against FutureTrove's 2. Mininote also leads on update cadence (fortnightly vs monthly) and iOS requirement (13.0 vs 15.1). FutureTrove's advantage is review sentiment (100% vs 83%) and rating (5.0 vs 4.8). On price, ads, in-app purchases and monetization model there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. Mininote sells 4 in-app purchases, starting at $1.99 per month and FutureTrove sells 3 in-app purchases, starting at $5.99 per year. Whichever you choose, the download price is not the number that matters.

FutureTrove holds the better App Store score, 5.0 against 4.8. That said, the two scores are not equally well evidenced: Mininote has 21K ratings behind it against 2, so its average is the more settled of the two. Written reviews point the same way: 83% of Mininote's written reviews are positive against 100% of FutureTrove's.

Mininote ships an update fortnightly, FutureTrove monthly. The most recent releases landed on November 1, 2026 and October 21, 2026 respectively.
