# JotNotes vs Anybox

The clearest difference is update cadence: JotNotes at every 3 days against Anybox's every 5 weeks. Anybox's advantage is ratings volume (526 vs 3) and iOS requirement (17.0 vs 26.2). On price, rating, review sentiment and ads there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. JotNotes sells 1 one-off in-app purchase and Anybox sells 6 in-app purchases, starting at $1.99 per month. Whichever you choose, the download price is not the number that matters.

On the App Store both sit at effectively the same score — 4.7 for JotNotes against 4.7 for Anybox. That said, the two scores are not equally well evidenced: Anybox has 526 ratings behind it against 3, so its average is the more settled of the two. Written reviews are what separate them: 67% of JotNotes's written reviews are positive against 65% of Anybox's.

JotNotes ships an update every 3 days, Anybox every 5 weeks. Both last shipped on November 7, 2026.
