# Live Widgets for iPad vs Widgetal

The clearest difference is rating: Widgetal at 4.4 against Live Widgets for iPad's 2.3. Widgetal also leads on ratings volume (591 vs 6). Live Widgets for iPad's advantage is in-app purchases (none vs 8) and review sentiment (33% vs 21%). On price, update cadence, ads and device support there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. Widgetal sells 8 in-app purchases, starting at $1.49 per 3 months. Live Widgets for iPad asks for nothing beyond the download.

Widgetal holds the better App Store score, 4.4 against 2.3. That said, the two scores are not equally well evidenced: Widgetal has 591 ratings behind it against 6, so its average is the more settled of the two. Written reviews complicate that: 33% of Live Widgets for iPad's written reviews are positive against 21% of Widgetal's, so the app with the better star average is not the one people write more warmly about.
