# MODBOX vs Two Fold

The clearest difference is ads: Two Fold at none against MODBOX's shown. Two Fold also leads on update cadence (every 2 days vs every 2 weeks) and rating (5.0 vs 4.7). MODBOX's advantage is ratings volume (408 vs 2) and iOS requirement (12.0 vs 27). On price, in-app purchases, monetization model and device support there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. MODBOX sells 4 in-app purchases, starting at $3.99 per 7 days and Two Fold sells 1 one-off in-app purchase. Whichever you choose, the download price is not the number that matters.

Two Fold holds the better App Store score, 5.0 against 4.7. That said, the two scores are not equally well evidenced: MODBOX has 408 ratings behind it against 2, so its average is the more settled of the two.

MODBOX ships an update every 2 weeks, Two Fold every 2 days. The most recent releases landed on October 24, 2026 and October 26, 2026 respectively.
