# Prezens vs Drinking Control

Prezens and Drinking Control both sit at 4.0 stars, but that hides the real split: 96% of Prezens's written reviews are positive against 75% of Drinking Control's. Drinking Control's advantage is ratings volume (10 vs 2). On price, rating, update cadence and ads there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. Prezens sells 6 in-app purchases, starting at $4.49 per month and Drinking Control sells 3 in-app purchases, starting at $9.99 per month. Whichever you choose, the download price is not the number that matters.

On the App Store both sit at effectively the same score — 4.0 for Prezens against 4.1 for Drinking Control. That said, the two scores are not equally well evidenced: Drinking Control has 10 ratings behind it against 2, so its average is the more settled of the two. Written reviews are what separate them: 96% of Prezens's written reviews are positive against 75% of Drinking Control's.

Prezens ships an update every 2 months, Drinking Control monthly. The most recent releases landed on October 8, 2026 and October 14, 2026 respectively.
