# Omena vs MCR

The clearest difference is monetization model: Omena at free with in-app purchases against MCR's subscription. MCR's advantage is review sentiment (100% vs 91%). On price, update cadence, ads and in-app purchases there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. Omena sells 29 in-app purchases, starting at $3.99 per month and MCR sells 1 in-app purchase, starting at $49.99 per month. Whichever you choose, the download price is not the number that matters.

Omena ships an update every 2 weeks, MCR monthly. Both last shipped on October 30, 2026.
