# C vs EggWire

The clearest difference is rating: EggWire at 5.0 against C's 3.9. EggWire also leads on ads (none vs shown) and update cadence (every 4 days vs every 2 months). C's advantage is ratings volume (632 vs 1) and monetization model (ad-supported vs freemium). On price, in-app purchases, device support and iOS requirement there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. Neither carries in-app purchases, so what you see is what you pay.

EggWire holds the better App Store score, 5.0 against 3.9. That said, the two scores are not equally well evidenced: C has 632 ratings behind it against 1, so its average is the more settled of the two.

C ships an update every 2 months, EggWire every 4 days. The most recent releases landed on October 12, 2026 and October 1, 2026 respectively.
