# Spitar vs Regime

The clearest difference is review sentiment: Regime at 100% against Spitar's 49%. Regime also leads on rating (5.0 vs 4.0) and iOS requirement (13.0 vs 15.0). Spitar's advantage is update cadence (every 2 months vs every 12 months) and ratings volume (193 vs 4). On price, ads, in-app purchases and monetization model there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. Neither carries in-app purchases, so what you see is what you pay.

Regime holds the better App Store score, 5.0 against 4.0. That said, the two scores are not equally well evidenced: Spitar has 193 ratings behind it against 4, so its average is the more settled of the two. Written reviews point the same way: 49% of Spitar's written reviews are positive against 100% of Regime's.

Spitar ships an update every 2 months, Regime every 12 months. The most recent releases landed on October 22, 2026 and October 8, 2026 respectively.
