# MySql Elite vs Database Hosting

The clearest difference is update cadence: Database Hosting at every 6 days against MySql Elite's every 3 weeks. Database Hosting also leads on iOS requirement (13.0 vs 16.6). On price, ads, in-app purchases and device support there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. MySql Elite sells 3 in-app purchases, starting at $0.99 per 7 days and Database Hosting sells 1 one-off in-app purchase. Whichever you choose, the download price is not the number that matters.
