# Original Farkle vs WordSnap Timer

The clearest difference is rating: Original Farkle at 4.7 against WordSnap Timer's 4.0. Original Farkle also leads on update cadence (every 2 weeks vs every 5 months) and ratings volume (4.6K vs 4). WordSnap Timer's advantage is ads (none vs shown) and review sentiment (75% vs 47%). On price, in-app purchases, monetization model and device support there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. Neither carries in-app purchases, so what you see is what you pay.

Original Farkle holds the better App Store score, 4.7 against 4.0. That said, the two scores are not equally well evidenced: Original Farkle has 4.6K ratings behind it against 4, so its average is the more settled of the two. Written reviews complicate that: 47% of Original Farkle's written reviews are positive against 75% of WordSnap Timer's, so the app with the better star average is not the one people write more warmly about.

Original Farkle ships an update every 2 weeks, WordSnap Timer every 5 months. Both last shipped on November 3, 2026.
