# Mind Map vs PingPong

The clearest difference is in-app purchases: PingPong at none against Mind Map's 2. PingPong also leads on rating (5.0 vs 4.8) and iOS requirement (15.6 vs 18.0). Mind Map's advantage is update cadence (weekly vs every 3 weeks) and ratings volume (6 vs 1). On price, ads and device support there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. Mind Map sells 2 in-app purchases, starting at $6.99 per year. PingPong asks for nothing beyond the download.

PingPong holds the better App Store score, 5.0 against 4.8. That said, the two scores are not equally well evidenced: Mind Map has 6 ratings behind it against 1, so its average is the more settled of the two.

Mind Map ships an update weekly, PingPong every 3 weeks. The most recent releases landed on October 7, 2026 and October 6, 2026 respectively.
