# MODS & ADD vs Addons for Minecraft MCPE

The clearest difference is rating: MODS & ADD at 4.6 against Addons for Minecraft MCPE's 4.2. MODS & ADD also leads on ratings volume (4.6K vs 164) and device support (3 vs 1). Addons for Minecraft MCPE's advantage is review sentiment (82% vs 60%). On price, update cadence, ads and in-app purchases there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. MODS & ADD sells 3 in-app purchases, starting at $2.99 per 7 days and Addons for Minecraft MCPE sells 4 in-app purchases, starting at $2.99 per 7 days. Whichever you choose, the download price is not the number that matters.

MODS & ADD holds the better App Store score, 4.6 against 4.2. That said, the two scores are not equally well evidenced: MODS & ADD has 4.6K ratings behind it against 164, so its average is the more settled of the two. Written reviews complicate that: 60% of MODS & ADD's written reviews are positive against 82% of Addons for Minecraft MCPE's, so the app with the better star average is not the one people write more warmly about.

Both ship on a similar rhythm, roughly monthly. The most recent releases landed on November 3, 2026 and October 24, 2026 respectively.
