# SOULVARS vs ShardCounter

The clearest difference is price: ShardCounter at Free against SOULVARS's $4.99. SOULVARS's advantage is ratings volume (47 vs 2) and iOS requirement (13.0 vs 18.2). On rating, update cadence, ads and in-app purchases there is nothing between them.

ShardCounter is free to download; SOULVARS costs $4.99 up front. Neither carries in-app purchases, so what you see is what you pay.

ShardCounter holds the better App Store score, 5.0 against 4.8. That said, the two scores are not equally well evidenced: SOULVARS has 47 ratings behind it against 2, so its average is the more settled of the two.

SOULVARS ships an update every 4 weeks, ShardCounter fortnightly. The most recent releases landed on November 3, 2026 and October 30, 2026 respectively.
