# GravyWork vs shiftNOW

GravyWork and shiftNOW both sit at 4.4 stars, but that hides the real split: 68% of GravyWork's written reviews are positive against 42% of shiftNOW's. On price, rating, ratings volume and update cadence there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. Neither carries in-app purchases, so what you see is what you pay.

shiftNOW holds the better App Store score, 4.6 against 4.4. Both are backed by a comparable volume of ratings — 255 and 483 respectively. Written reviews complicate that: 68% of GravyWork's written reviews are positive against 42% of shiftNOW's, so the app with the better star average is not the one people write more warmly about.

GravyWork ships an update fortnightly, shiftNOW every 9 days. The most recent releases landed on October 7, 2026 and October 9, 2026 respectively.
