# Save the Masters vs Tape Puzzle

The clearest difference is review sentiment: Tape Puzzle at 100% against Save the Masters's 33%. Tape Puzzle also leads on in-app purchases (none vs 8). Save the Masters's advantage is rating (4.6 vs 4.3) and ratings volume (1.4K vs 147). On price, update cadence, ads and device support there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. Save the Masters sells 8 in-app purchases, starting at $5.99 per 7 days. Tape Puzzle asks for nothing beyond the download.

Save the Masters holds the better App Store score, 4.6 against 4.3. That said, the two scores are not equally well evidenced: Save the Masters has 1.4K ratings behind it against 147, so its average is the more settled of the two. Written reviews complicate that: 33% of Save the Masters's written reviews are positive against 100% of Tape Puzzle's, so the app with the better star average is not the one people write more warmly about.

Both ship on a similar rhythm, roughly every 3 weeks. The most recent releases landed on October 30, 2026 and October 20, 2026 respectively.
