# Printer App vs EZ Print

The clearest difference is monetization model: Printer App at free with in-app purchases against EZ Print's subscription. Printer App also leads on ratings volume (8.8K vs 6). EZ Print's advantage is update cadence (every 3 weeks vs every 2 months) and iOS requirement (12.0 vs 16.0). On price, rating, ads and in-app purchases there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. Printer App sells 9 in-app purchases, starting at $4.99 per month and EZ Print sells 2 in-app purchases, starting at $7.99 per month. Whichever you choose, the download price is not the number that matters.

On the App Store both sit at effectively the same score — 4.6 for Printer App against 4.7 for EZ Print. That said, the two scores are not equally well evidenced: Printer App has 8.8K ratings behind it against 6, so its average is the more settled of the two.

Printer App ships an update every 2 months, EZ Print every 3 weeks. The most recent releases landed on October 31, 2026 and October 22, 2026 respectively.
