# FAX from iPhone vs Pro Scanner

The clearest difference is ratings volume: FAX from iPhone at 5.5K against Pro Scanner's 28. FAX from iPhone also leads on chart position (#88 vs unranked). Pro Scanner's advantage is rating (4.8 vs 4.6) and iOS requirement (14.0 vs 17.0). On price, update cadence, ads and in-app purchases there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. FAX from iPhone sells 10 in-app purchases, starting at $7.99 per 7 days and Pro Scanner sells 1 in-app purchase, starting at $4.99 per 7 days. Whichever you choose, the download price is not the number that matters.

Pro Scanner holds the better App Store score, 4.8 against 4.6. That said, the two scores are not equally well evidenced: FAX from iPhone has 5.5K ratings behind it against 28, so its average is the more settled of the two.

FAX from iPhone ships an update every 2 weeks, Pro Scanner every 3 weeks. The most recent releases landed on October 27, 2026 and October 24, 2026 respectively.
