# KIRI Engine vs HappyMapper

The clearest difference is rating: KIRI Engine at 4.4 against HappyMapper's 3.9. KIRI Engine also leads on ratings volume (1.3K vs 7). HappyMapper's advantage is review sentiment (100% vs 62%) and update cadence (every 5 days vs every 3 weeks). On price, ads, in-app purchases and monetization model there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. KIRI Engine sells 17 in-app purchases, starting at $6.99 per month and HappyMapper sells 3 in-app purchases, starting at $2.99 per month. Whichever you choose, the download price is not the number that matters.

KIRI Engine holds the better App Store score, 4.4 against 3.9. That said, the two scores are not equally well evidenced: KIRI Engine has 1.3K ratings behind it against 7, so its average is the more settled of the two. Written reviews complicate that: 62% of KIRI Engine's written reviews are positive against 100% of HappyMapper's, so the app with the better star average is not the one people write more warmly about.

KIRI Engine ships an update every 3 weeks, HappyMapper every 5 days. The most recent releases landed on October 27, 2026 and October 24, 2026 respectively.
