# VAS vs Printer App

The clearest difference is review sentiment: VAS at 100% against Printer App's 14%. VAS also leads on in-app purchases (none vs 5) and update cadence (fortnightly vs every 2 months). Printer App's advantage is rating (4.2 vs 3.5) and ratings volume (118 vs 2). On price, ads and device support there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. Printer App sells 5 in-app purchases, starting at $9.99 per 7 days. VAS asks for nothing beyond the download.

Printer App holds the better App Store score, 4.2 against 3.5. That said, the two scores are not equally well evidenced: Printer App has 118 ratings behind it against 2, so its average is the more settled of the two. Written reviews complicate that: 100% of VAS's written reviews are positive against 14% of Printer App's, so the app with the better star average is not the one people write more warmly about.

VAS ships an update fortnightly, Printer App every 2 months. The most recent releases landed on October 14, 2026 and October 21, 2026 respectively.
