# C vs Eclipse

The clearest difference is in-app purchases: C at none against Eclipse's 5. C also leads on iOS requirement (11.0 vs 16.0). Eclipse's advantage is update cadence (every 4 days vs every 3 weeks). On price, ads and device support there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. Eclipse sells 5 in-app purchases, starting at $4.99 per month. C asks for nothing beyond the download.

C ships an update every 3 weeks, Eclipse every 4 days. The most recent releases landed on October 13, 2026 and September 30, 2026 respectively.
