# Work Log vs Timely

The clearest difference is ads: Timely at none against Work Log's shown. Work Log's advantage is ratings volume (4.4K vs 126) and iOS requirement (15.0 vs 18.0). On price, rating, review sentiment and update cadence there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. Work Log sells 2 in-app purchases, starting at $0.99 per month and Timely sells 4 in-app purchases, starting at $4.99 per month. Whichever you choose, the download price is not the number that matters.

On the App Store both sit at effectively the same score — 4.8 for Work Log against 4.8 for Timely. That said, the two scores are not equally well evidenced: Work Log has 4.4K ratings behind it against 126, so its average is the more settled of the two. Written reviews are what separate them: 82% of Work Log's written reviews are positive against 88% of Timely's.

Work Log ships an update every 10 days, Timely fortnightly. The most recent releases landed on October 12, 2026 and October 10, 2026 respectively.
