# Work Log vs Hours Tracker

The clearest difference is ads: Hours Tracker at none against Work Log's shown. Hours Tracker also leads on rating (5.0 vs 4.8). Work Log's advantage is ratings volume (4.4K vs 1) and update cadence (every 10 days vs every 2 months). On price, in-app purchases, monetization model and device support there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. Work Log sells 2 in-app purchases, starting at $0.99 per month and Hours Tracker sells 5 in-app purchases, starting at $4.99 per 7 days. Whichever you choose, the download price is not the number that matters.

Hours Tracker holds the better App Store score, 5.0 against 4.8. That said, the two scores are not equally well evidenced: Work Log has 4.4K ratings behind it against 1, so its average is the more settled of the two.

Work Log ships an update every 10 days, Hours Tracker every 2 months. The most recent releases landed on October 12, 2026 and September 27, 2026 respectively.
