# Avant vs Renewl

The clearest difference is in-app purchases: Avant at none against Renewl's 2. Avant also leads on ratings volume (124K vs 1) and chart position (#189 vs unranked). Renewl's advantage is update cadence (weekly vs every 3 weeks) and rating (5.0 vs 4.8). On price, ads and device support there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. Renewl sells 2 in-app purchases, starting at $2.99 per month. Avant asks for nothing beyond the download.

Renewl holds the better App Store score, 5.0 against 4.8. That said, the two scores are not equally well evidenced: Avant has 124K ratings behind it against 1, so its average is the more settled of the two.

Avant ships an update every 3 weeks, Renewl weekly. The most recent releases landed on October 27, 2026 and October 12, 2026 respectively.
