# Stadia Altimeter vs AvNav

The clearest difference is rating: Stadia Altimeter at 5.0 against AvNav's 4.2. Stadia Altimeter also leads on in-app purchases (none vs 1) and iOS requirement (11.0 vs 16.6). AvNav's advantage is update cadence (every 10 days vs every 9 months) and ratings volume (5 vs 1). On price, ads and device support there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. AvNav sells 1 in-app purchase, starting at $149.99 per year. Stadia Altimeter asks for nothing beyond the download.

Stadia Altimeter holds the better App Store score, 5.0 against 4.2. That said, the two scores are not equally well evidenced: AvNav has 5 ratings behind it against 1, so its average is the more settled of the two.
