# starmoon vs BroadLink Magic Home

The clearest difference is rating: starmoon at 4.0 against BroadLink Magic Home's 2.0. starmoon also leads on iOS requirement (11.0 vs 15.0). BroadLink Magic Home's advantage is ratings volume (20 vs 1) and update cadence (every 3 weeks vs every 2 months). On price, ads, in-app purchases and monetization model there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. Neither carries in-app purchases, so what you see is what you pay.

starmoon holds the better App Store score, 4.0 against 2.0. That said, the two scores are not equally well evidenced: BroadLink Magic Home has 20 ratings behind it against 1, so its average is the more settled of the two. Written reviews complicate that: 0% of starmoon's written reviews are positive against 13% of BroadLink Magic Home's, so the app with the better star average is not the one people write more warmly about.

starmoon ships an update every 2 months, BroadLink Magic Home every 3 weeks. The most recent releases landed on October 28, 2026 and November 3, 2026 respectively.
