# ThinMP vs Color Covers

The clearest difference is in-app purchases: ThinMP at none against Color Covers's 3. Color Covers's advantage is update cadence (every 4 months vs every 12 months) and iOS requirement (14.0 vs 16.0). On price, ads and device support there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. Color Covers sells 3 one-off in-app purchases. ThinMP asks for nothing beyond the download.

ThinMP ships an update every 12 months, Color Covers every 4 months. The most recent releases landed on October 1, 2026 and October 14, 2026 respectively.
