# Tagmiibo vs MapGenie

Tagmiibo and MapGenie both sit at 4.8 stars, but that hides the real split: 87% of Tagmiibo's written reviews are positive against 50% of MapGenie's. Tagmiibo also leads on ads (none vs shown) and update cadence (every 3 weeks vs every 47 months). On price, rating, in-app purchases and monetization model there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. Tagmiibo sells 6 one-off in-app purchases and MapGenie sells 1 one-off in-app purchase. Whichever you choose, the download price is not the number that matters.

On the App Store both sit at effectively the same score — 4.8 for Tagmiibo against 4.6 for MapGenie. That said, the two scores are not equally well evidenced: Tagmiibo has 2.6K ratings behind it against 21, so its average is the more settled of the two. Written reviews are what separate them: 87% of Tagmiibo's written reviews are positive against 50% of MapGenie's.
