# SkyView GPS vs FMP

The clearest difference is update cadence: FMP at every 3 weeks against SkyView GPS's every 9 months. SkyView GPS's advantage is iOS requirement (13.0 vs 15.0). On price, ads, in-app purchases and device support there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. Neither carries in-app purchases, so what you see is what you pay.

SkyView GPS ships an update every 9 months, FMP every 3 weeks. The most recent releases landed on October 20, 2026 and October 24, 2026 respectively.
