# Manga Reader ㅤ vs ReadEra

The clearest difference is review sentiment: ReadEra at 60% against Manga Reader ㅤ's 13%. ReadEra also leads on in-app purchases (none vs 12) and ads (none vs shown). Manga Reader ㅤ's advantage is rating (4.5 vs 4.2) and ratings volume (18K vs 239). On price, chart position and device support there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. Manga Reader ㅤ sells 12 in-app purchases, starting at $4.99 per month. ReadEra asks for nothing beyond the download.

Manga Reader ㅤ holds the better App Store score, 4.5 against 4.2. That said, the two scores are not equally well evidenced: Manga Reader ㅤ has 18K ratings behind it against 239, so its average is the more settled of the two. Written reviews complicate that: 13% of Manga Reader ㅤ's written reviews are positive against 60% of ReadEra's, so the app with the better star average is not the one people write more warmly about.

Manga Reader ㅤ ships an update monthly, ReadEra every 2 months. Both last shipped on October 25, 2026.
