# Manga Reader ㅤ vs 8Round

Manga Reader ㅤ and 8Round both sit at 4.5 stars, but that hides the real split: 80% of 8Round's written reviews are positive against 13% of Manga Reader ㅤ's. 8Round also leads on ads (none vs shown). Manga Reader ㅤ's advantage is ratings volume (18K vs 7) and chart position (#161 vs unranked). On price, rating, update cadence and in-app purchases there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. Manga Reader ㅤ sells 12 in-app purchases, starting at $4.99 per month and 8Round sells 10 in-app purchases, starting at $8.00 per month. Whichever you choose, the download price is not the number that matters.

On the App Store both sit at effectively the same score — 4.5 for Manga Reader ㅤ against 4.4 for 8Round. That said, the two scores are not equally well evidenced: Manga Reader ㅤ has 18K ratings behind it against 7, so its average is the more settled of the two. Written reviews are what separate them: 13% of Manga Reader ㅤ's written reviews are positive against 80% of 8Round's.

Both ship on a similar rhythm, roughly monthly. The most recent releases landed on October 24, 2026 and October 16, 2026 respectively.
