# Manga Reader ㅤ vs First Scroll

Manga Reader ㅤ and First Scroll both sit at 4.5 stars, but that hides the real split: 60% of First Scroll's written reviews are positive against 13% of Manga Reader ㅤ's. First Scroll also leads on ads (none vs shown) and update cadence (every 5 days vs monthly). Manga Reader ㅤ's advantage is ratings volume (18K vs 18) and chart position (#157 vs unranked). On price, rating, in-app purchases and monetization model there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. Manga Reader ㅤ sells 12 in-app purchases, starting at $4.99 per month and First Scroll sells 2 in-app purchases, starting at $9.99 per month. Whichever you choose, the download price is not the number that matters.

On the App Store both sit at effectively the same score — 4.5 for Manga Reader ㅤ against 4.5 for First Scroll. That said, the two scores are not equally well evidenced: Manga Reader ㅤ has 18K ratings behind it against 18, so its average is the more settled of the two. Written reviews are what separate them: 13% of Manga Reader ㅤ's written reviews are positive against 60% of First Scroll's.

Manga Reader ㅤ ships an update monthly, First Scroll every 5 days. The most recent releases landed on October 15, 2026 and October 12, 2026 respectively.
