# Interval Timer vs Interval

The clearest difference is update cadence: Interval at weekly against Interval Timer's every 5 months. Interval Timer's advantage is iOS requirement (12.0 vs 17.0). On price, ads, in-app purchases and device support there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. Interval Timer sells 3 in-app purchases, starting at $1.99 per month and Interval sells 1 one-off in-app purchase. Whichever you choose, the download price is not the number that matters.

Interval Timer ships an update every 5 months, Interval weekly. The most recent releases landed on October 6, 2026 and September 30, 2026 respectively.
