# PipPip vs Countdown

PipPip and Countdown both sit at 4.6 stars, but that hides the real split: 82% of Countdown's written reviews are positive against 25% of PipPip's. Countdown also leads on ratings volume (3.1K vs 14). PipPip's advantage is iOS requirement (9.0 vs 18.0). On price, rating, ads and in-app purchases there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. PipPip sells 3 one-off in-app purchases and Countdown sells 14 in-app purchases, starting at $1.99 per month. Whichever you choose, the download price is not the number that matters.

On the App Store both sit at effectively the same score — 4.6 for PipPip against 4.7 for Countdown. That said, the two scores are not equally well evidenced: Countdown has 3.1K ratings behind it against 14, so its average is the more settled of the two. Written reviews are what separate them: 25% of PipPip's written reviews are positive against 82% of Countdown's.
