# First Tee vs Outschool

The clearest difference is rating: First Tee at 3.7 against Outschool's 3.2. First Tee also leads on in-app purchases (none vs 1) and iOS requirement (11.4 vs 15.1). Outschool's advantage is update cadence (every 3 weeks vs every 6 months) and review sentiment (29% vs 0%). On price, ads and device support there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. Outschool sells 1 one-off in-app purchase. First Tee asks for nothing beyond the download.

First Tee holds the better App Store score, 3.7 against 3.2. That said, the two scores are not equally well evidenced: Outschool has 117 ratings behind it against 22, so its average is the more settled of the two. Written reviews complicate that: 0% of First Tee's written reviews are positive against 29% of Outschool's, so the app with the better star average is not the one people write more warmly about.

First Tee ships an update every 6 months, Outschool every 3 weeks. The most recent releases landed on October 19, 2026 and October 20, 2026 respectively.
