# Obscura vs AgBr

The clearest difference is review sentiment: AgBr at 95% against Obscura's 52%. AgBr also leads on rating (4.8 vs 4.1) and iOS requirement (15.0 vs 18). Obscura's advantage is monetization model (freemium vs paid) and ratings volume (277 vs 33). On price, update cadence, ads and in-app purchases there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. Obscura sells 5 in-app purchases, starting at $1.49 per 7 days and AgBr sells 2 one-off in-app purchases. Whichever you choose, the download price is not the number that matters.

AgBr holds the better App Store score, 4.8 against 4.1. That said, the two scores are not equally well evidenced: Obscura has 277 ratings behind it against 33, so its average is the more settled of the two. Written reviews point the same way: 52% of Obscura's written reviews are positive against 95% of AgBr's.

Both ship on a similar rhythm, roughly every 2 weeks. The most recent releases landed on October 31, 2026 and October 23, 2026 respectively.
