# Diet Care vs JIDA

The clearest difference is monetization model: JIDA at free against Diet Care's freemium. JIDA also leads on iOS requirement (15.1 vs 17.0). Diet Care's advantage is ratings volume (563 vs 12). On price, rating, update cadence and ads there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. Neither carries in-app purchases, so what you see is what you pay.

Diet Care holds the better App Store score, 4.6 against 4.4. That said, the two scores are not equally well evidenced: Diet Care has 563 ratings behind it against 12, so its average is the more settled of the two.

Diet Care ships an update every 5 weeks, JIDA every 3 weeks. The most recent releases landed on November 3, 2026 and October 31, 2026 respectively.
